Dr. Pratik Bhandari
Research Scientist & Director of Research

Pratik is the founder and Director of Research at NCCS. He studies how the brain/mind processes sound, speech, and language in typical and atypical populations. His research spans across predictive language processing, developmental language disorders, cognitive consequences of multilingualism, speech perception, among others.
He brings his academic and research experience from across different research institutes and universities from India, Spain, and Germany to Nepal. Focusing on underrepresented, non-WEIRD, diverse communities, he aims to expand the scope of cognitive science in resource-constrained settings like that of Nepal. He is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), Bir Hospital, Kathmandu.
